Mid year check in: How is it going?

Can you believe that we are half way through year? We have been on an exciting journey together. At the start of the year we reflected, examined and rediscovered. We made an action plan to live the life you were created to live.

We began in the blog Are you ready for a reset?

Resetting your life means to bring back to the original setting. It is to get back to your core values of who you are and what you believe about yourself, your life and the world. A reset clears your mind of unwanted or toxic thoughts and behaviors. Resetting allows you to be proactive in your life instead of reactive.

Then we took time for reflection in the blog  A time for Reflection

Why is it important to take time for reflection? It helps you to clarify your thoughts. You get a better understanding of yourself, your experiences and your relationships. Reflection will lead you to self awareness, valuable insights and breakthroughs. You will find areas where you need to take responsibility and it will help you to release emotional attachments in other areas. Reflection helps you focus on what is important so that you can create meaning in your life.

Reflecting gave you the opportunity to consider your life. Examining goes deeper and ask the tougher questions; The What, Why, When and How. Examining your life will help you discover where you have been, where you are and where you want to go.

What are core values?

They are the foundation of what you belief. Your core values are the rock in which you build your life upon. Your life is comprised of what you believe and value. Your beliefs and core values dictate your behavior.

We made an action plan in blog post How to Reset your life

It is time to make an action plan. Why an action plan? Action plans give you a point of reference when you are entrenched in a situation. It allows you to review the way you want to respond and follow through.

Lastly we implemented our action plan in blog post Living the life you were created to live

Choose the one area that matters most to you and start there. Decide what the most important step is and do it. Then take the next step. Once you get started and momentum starts to build, add changes to other areas of your life.

Before long the small steps start adding up to big changes. Your life is becoming your own. You are creating the life you were meant to live for this season. Enjoy the journey. Enjoy the life you are creating. Life is fluid and you are the paint brush used to create a master piece.

It is time to check in and see how your reset is going.

Start by reviewing your action plan. As you review ask yourself the following: How am I  doing based on my action plan? What is working? What is not working? Am I where I want to be? If not, what steps do I need to take to get there? What needs to be adjusted?
